Eldredge Frank Parsh, age 93, a resident of Warren, Michigan died on Monday, August 15, 2011 at DMC Sinai-Grace Hospital, Detroit, MI. He was born on June 14, 1918 in Detroit to the late Frank and Anne (Piatkowski) Parsh.
Mr. Parsh was employed as an electrician for 40 years at Ford Motor Company until his retirement in 1978. He proudly served in the United States Army during World War II as a radio operator in the 95th Infantry and fought in battles in Northern France, Rhineland, and Central Europe. He was a member of UAW Local #600 - Ford Rouge Plant and the Eagles. He enjoyed attending the 95th Infantry reunions and traveling the world by cruises. He could often be found playing cards with his friends or dancing with his wives - two of his favorite pastimes.
He is survived by his wife Erma of Pinellas Park, Florida, two sons; Robert Parsh of Staten Island, New York, Gerald (LaVonne) Parsh of Warren, MI, three step-daughters; Janet Thomasser of Sierra Madre, California, Mary Lou (Tony) Howell of Clearwater, FL, ViLou (John) Gray of Seattle Washington, three grandchildren; Nathan, Jessica, and Lindsay Parsh, two step-granddaughters; Jessica Feldt and Cheryl Kelly, two step-great-grandchildren; Ryan and Ben Kelly, and four nieces; Judy Dara, Kathy Meloche, Barbara Isle, and Sue Rassette. He was preceded in death by his first two wives; Ruth and Lily, three sisters; Virginia, Jeanette, and Lorraine, and in-law’s John and Esther Ploeger.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, August 20, 2011 at 10:30a.m. in the Harold W. Vick Funeral Home, 140 South Main Street, Mount Clemens with the Rev. William Lawrence officiating. Visitation will be held in the funeral home on Friday, August 19, 2011 from 2:00p.m. until 8:00p.m. Memorial donations in memory of Eldredge may be sent to Season’s Hospice, 27355 John R.
